JKing Dance Company(JKDC) provides creative outlets for dancers. We are committed to developing new works which promote diversity in perspective and sustain self-awareness through the vigor and ardor of contemporary dance and storytelling ~Bringing the performing arts to those with limited access and touching lives worldwide.

JKDC based in Brooklyn, NY, is an all female ensemble, increasingly advancing in recognition as ‘.... undeniably emotional, unabashedly raw and most importantly real.... .(Jenny Thompson/Examiner).

The artistry of her dancers is athletic, and tender, bringing life to ‘....vigorous, full-bodied movement sections that lead to a vivid sense of catharsis.’ (Jamie Townsend/Dance Explorer)

I am obsessed with exposing life’s hidden moments that hold us back, probing into psychological realities through recognizable characters and identifiable settings. I create to understand life’s complexities in their simplest form. Where life may be perceived as scary, painful, or confusing, I seek inherent joy and reason. I look to find truth.’

Joyce King,
