DANELLE HERRAN

               Assistant to Artistic Director

An original member, comes to NYC via San Francisco, CA, with a background in gymnastics and dance. She holds full certification in AFAA, USAG - competition teams (JO and Xcel Programs), CPR , ECE and Sports Psychology.
Danelle’s extensive training in gymnastics and dance started her competing on the Daly City USGF Team, affording  opportunities to perform in workshops with Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘O’ and ‘Quidam’. She was on full scholarship at San Francisco’s DSG intensive training under Ann Marie Garvin and Ann Barrett before moving to NYC.
As a member of JKDC, she has performed internationally at HIGH FEST - Armenia and nationally at Massachusetts Dance Festival, Southern VT Dance Festival, DUMBO, COOL NY, Fertile Ground, NYC APAP2015/2017 Jazz at Lincoln Center, Elgin Ties Dance Festival and more. 
Additionally, she performed in ‘Dance it Forward’ - directed by Jeff Shade, ‘Keep Talking’ - PBS special, international Coca Cola commercial and works by Ann Barrett.
Danelle is on the Acro- faculty at Northern Westchester School of Dance and the Discovery Programs - NY. She has taught master classes for Canada's - Tandem Dance in NYC, coverd Jazz classes at Barnard College, and assisted Chuck Kelley (Acro) at Dance Educators of America - Teacher training, NYC. Danelle is particularly proud of her work for the Xiana Fairchild Recovery Foundations, where she choreographed and performed to raise funds for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
As assistant to Joyce King, Danelle has restaged JKDC’s rep, and had the pleasure of assisting King’s class at K-Broadway Dance Center - Tokyo, Japan, Joffrey’s NYC Trainee Programs, the Louis Vuitton/Parson project and Steps on Broadway. She also works side by side with King in developing JKDC’s fundraising strategies.
