Misaki Hayama

was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from Saitama Prefectures High School of the Arts and attended NIHON University College of Art in Japan. During her school career, she studied modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, Japanese traditional dance, tap and singing. Misaki won many dance competitions for modern dance, as and was awarded first place in the Philippines for hip hop. At 18, she went on to perform with the Lion King and later with A Chorus Line as Tricia in Tokyo, Sapporo and Osaka for four years as part of the dance ensemble.

Upon moving to New York, she was awarded a partial scholarship from 2015 - 2016 to the prestigious Alvin Ailey school. Then in 2016 - 2017,  she received a full scholarship to continue her training with Ailey. Performance credits include the Apollo theater working with Oberdiah Wright, Leslie Dockery and Alfredo Gillman in a new musical entitled, Night Songs at the New York Theater of Actors. Misaki also had the pleasure of working with choreographer George William Faison in the gospel festival as a guest dancer at the Prudential Center.
